The Jewish Community Center of Memphis is dedicated to the enrichment of Jewish life. Located on a sprawling 30-acre campus in east Memphis, the MJCC is truly the Center of our Jewish community. A full range of cultural, Jewish educational, social, and recreational activities is available for all ages. The Center provides a common meeting place for its members as well as the entire Jewish community to participate in Jewish and general programs, and make lasting friendships.

For more than four decades, the Center has played and continues to play a vital role in the Jewish community. Through the efforts of more than 750 volunteers and a full complement of professional and support staff, activities for preschoolers, elementary school children, teenagers, adults, and senior adults are available year round. We even offer a kosher meal program five days a week.

The MJCC offers so many activities, there is hardly a need to go anywhere else. Some of the finest athletic, social, and cultural programs available in the area are at the Center. The Center facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, large fully equipped gymnasiums, racquetball, an indoor jogging track, a Health Center, a theater, art gallery, gift shop, a complete cultural arts wing and outdoor day camp grounds.

On any given day, the MJCC is alive with activities for every age and interest. Early Bird participants begin their exercise program at the Center even before toddlers arrive for day care and preschool activities continue all day long for all age levels. In many ways, the MJCC is a community-wide "chavurah" group … a chavurah that consists of more than 6,000 members or of more importance the camaraderie of activities in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The MJCC is a place to experience and share one’s Jewish heritage and culture. Everything from holiday programs and commemorative events that bring us together as a Jewish community, to music and art programs, to a wide array of physical education activities for every age group, takes place at our Center. You are cordially invited to become part of our Center "chavurah."
